ECO Courts, a project for sustainable living
Cities, especially residential buildings, use about 30% of the total amount of energy delivered at a national level. Domestic waste is about 55-60% of total national waste. Italy ranks second in Europe for daily per capita water consumption, that is 340 litres per citizen.
Eco Courts project moves from the idea that residential buildings are the best starting point for spreading low consumption initiatives, lowering waste and promoting savings that are an advantage for the whole community. Apartment blocks especially hold many families who can work together for a common saving target, improving the quality of lifestyle. The aim of the project is to lower energy and water consumption and waste production.
The project will develop a Sustainable Family Tutorial, available on the project website in the next months; the Tutorial will allow users to misure and monitor their consumptions and to select more critical environmental issues to tackle at first and will suggest tips and solutions to adopt.
In the next months you’ll be allowed to join the Community online to share the project’s achievments and try the Sustainable Family Tutorial. Stay tuned!
